about

Book Keeper is part one to a two part story about a dying relationship between a father and his son. It states all the hardships that followed a bitter divorce that tore the family part. It also shows how the son learned to cope and learn from all struggles his father put him through.

lyrics

Book Keeper

In this house, I have no face, I have no respect, I have no place.

Blinded by your pride & insecurities, you can't see the walls that you've built all around me.

This house is not a home, this house is not a home.
Forever been lost & now I'm all alone.

The only one I've ever loved is gone, please just bring her back & we can right the wrongs.

My whole life has been spent pleasing you.
Can't you see all of the shit you've put me through?

It was never enough, never enough for you.

I gave it my all, gave it my all, & all you did was put me down.

No matter my efforts, you'll make sure I fall holding your feelings, standing tall.

Let's turn the page on everything that doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. & after all we hope to find
hope & faith.
love & grace.

My first mistake was ever trusting you.
I let you in & all you did was shut me out.

I won't let you be the one who holds me down.
You'll never taste that sweet victory.

I won't let you be the one who holds me down.

I finally love and accept myself
I did it on my own
and I only move forward from here on out.

There's no looking back and there is definitely no regret.

Because what you put me through has made me what I am today.

Now I'll say thank you and walk away.
